How we check and score programs

Every program gets the same seven-factor score. The scores come from things we can check and date, not from gut feel, and the same score is used everywhere on this site.

25%Real 12-month costWhat you pay over a year at a typical dose, memberships included
20%Price transparencyAre prices public before checkout, and do they stay put after month one, at renewal and as your dose rises?
15%Refunds & cancellingMoney back if you are not approved, unused months refunded, notice needed to cancel
10%Medication choiceSemaglutide, tirzepatide, tablets and brand-name options
10%Speed to treatmentClinician review time plus shipping time
10%Care includedMessaging, follow-ups, dietitian or coaching, video visits
10%Track recordLicensing, pharmacy sourcing, FDA letters, lawsuits and complaint patterns

Step 1: we read the clinic's own pages

We start with each clinic’s pricing page, terms and refund policy. We note every number, the date we read it, and take a full-page screenshot. If a clinic only shows a price at checkout, we say so, and it scores lower on transparency.

Step 2: the claim check

Every review has a “claim check” table. We list what the clinic promises, then what we actually found in its terms. Promises with conditions get flagged.

Step 3: the track record

We search FDA warning letters, court filings and complaint sites like Trustpilot and the BBB. Recent regulator action costs points.

Step 4: re-check every month

Prices change often. We re-check monthly and every page shows its last check date. Spot a change before we do? Email hello@telehealthchecked.com.

What never changes a score

Commissions, free products or requests from a clinic. Guides that focus on one thing, like price, may weight factors differently, and they print those weights on the page. The factor scores themselves stay the same.
